Breed
Babydoll Southdown sheep are descended from the Southdown, one of the oldest down breeds. Standardized by John Ellman, they have been kept on farms in England since the late 1700s for flavorful meat and fine fleece.
Fleece
With 24-31 micron fleece which has excellent spring Babydoll wool is excellent for hand spinning, and finer fleeces can be worn next to the body.
Lawn Care
Often kept in vineyards, Babydolls are excellent at keeping the lawn trimmed and fertilized naturally. Ewe's and wethers are generally calm and make a friendly lively addition to your yard.
